A husband and wife team from the two largest advertising agencies in New York, we began the remodeling business in October 1960, as Exteriors Inc, updating storefronts for small businesses. A year later, we expanded into business interiors and eventually began specializing in residential remodeling and new construction.
Within two years, three of the top interior designers in Dallas – Earl Hart Miller, Audrey Price and Marguerite Green, recognized Steve’s commitment to excellence and our firm’s attention to detail. These designers brought Steve together with their clients on major additions and renovations in Highland Park.
Our creative craftsmanship soon led to the New York Times Magazine cover story about our major Belclaire Avenue project.
Our custom high-end remodeling includes projects in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Bluffview, and North Dallas.
In 1966 Steve combined two units at 3525 Turtle Creek for one of Mr. Miller’s clients, beginning our firm’s long association with major high-rise condominiums on Turtle Creek and in Uptown. We specialize in finish out and renovation at The Mansion Residences, The La Tour, The Claridge, 3525, and The Vendome, as well as The Mayfair, The Gold Crest, The Warrington, The Beverly, and The Park Towers.
In 1990 Pat rejoined the company fulltime after spending three years as the Business Manager for St. Michael and All Angels and 11 years as the Business Manager at Hockaday School. While at the Hockaday, Pat oversaw 10 major capital building projects.
In 2000 our daughter, Anne Reece, a former executive chef, came on board and today oversees jobs as President.
